Fast Growth for Potash and Amazon

Bullish (Bull Market)

When seeking out stocks, it helps to find the ones that show signs of strong and fast growth in the recent past and are coupled with strong projected growth.  Both Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) and Potash Corp./Saskatchewan (USA) (NYSE:POT) fit that bill.  They both have strong sales and earnings growth.  They are both projected for strong earnings growth this year, and they are in the upper echelon of performance for their respective industries.  Couple that with the market pull back, and you might have the best buying opportunity available.

Looking strictly at the numbers, we see that Amazon has outpaced Potash in recent history, but Potash is projected for larger growth this year.

Shares of Amazon are currently sitting at some strong support ($118) which is represented by the gap up back in October of 2009 and tested shortly thereafter in early November.  This may be a time ripe for picking up some shares if interested in a long position of Amazon.

Canada's Potash shares have taken it on the chin since early January, dropping from a high of $125 a share down to the $104.  The stock seems to showing some signs of stabilizing after the sharp drop, gaining support after bouncing off the $100 support level.  This may be good time to pick up some shares after the market has drug shares down about 20% from recent highs.
