Top Growth Stocks at Value Pricing

Upgrades.jpg

Today we want to highlight a few stocks that are projected for strong growth, but are still reasonably priced and have strong sales.  The four stocks that standout are Occidental Petroleum Corporation (NYSE:OXY), U.S. Bancorp (NYSE:USB), Research In Motion Limited (USA) (NASDAQ:RIMM), and Xerox Corporation (NYSE:XRX).

We looked for stocks that signaled growth based on the Projected Forward EPS Growth to be higher than or equal to the Trailing P/E.  To further narrow down selection, it was required that the stocks have an average surprise over the last 4 quarters be positive.  This would show that earnings have been outperforming the estimates.  To cap it off, the Sales & Revenue had to be greater than 10B to find large, more stable companies.

Here is what the stocks revealed.  The dividend yield is included for your own valuation.

OXY USB RIMM XRX
Trailing P/E 25.6 24.4 16.7 15.7
Proj. EPS Growth - 2010 57.3 65.0 27.7 31.7
Proj. EPS Growth - 2011 25.7 45.0 17.1 25.3
Sales-Revenues (millions $) 14,885 19,490 14,337 14,466
Average Surprise for Prev 4 Qtrs 11.3% 7.3% 5.0% 37.7%
Dividend Yield 1.73% 0.85% 0.00% 1.97%

These stocks are good candidates based on their projected growth.  If the market improves, they could be the first out of the gates.
