Stocks Fall - Bear Market

It was a painful day for shareholders of Drugstore.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:DSCM) and Leap Wireless International, Inc. (NASDAQ:LEAP) as both stocks fell 27.6% and 14.2% respectively.

dscmNew 52-week low for Drugstore.com, Inc. (DSCM) as it shares hit $1.99 during today's session and closed down 27.6% at $2.04.  Drugstore.com reported a Q2 loss of $0.03, 6 cents worse than the analyst estimate of $0.03. Revenue for the quarter was $113.1 million, which compares to the estimate of $115.87 million. DSCM is targeting Q310 net sales in the range of $107.0 million to $111.0 million. (Consensus is $116.21M) For fiscal year 2010, which compares a 52-week year to a 53-week year, the Company expects OTC revenue growth between 24% and 28%, inclusive of $16 to $20 million from partnerships, and vision revenue growth in the low single digits.

Leap Wireless International Inc. (LEAP) low of $9.76. The company reported a Q2 loss of $0.24, 1 cents worse than the analyst estimate of ($0.23). Revs for the quarter were $633.5 million, which compares to the estimate of $671.77 million. The stock was also downgraded at SunTrust and Wells Fargo also reduced their outlook from $17 - $18 to $11 - $12, while keeping their Market Perform rating.
