SunPower Upgrades Helps the Solar Stocks (ESLR, SPWRA, LDK)

SunPower Corporation (NASDAQ:SPWRA) shares are up 10% today thanks to upgrades from Soleil Securities Raymond James, that's also putting some fire in shares of Evergreen Solar, Inc. (NASDAQ:ESLR) and LDK Solar Co., Ltd. (NYSE:LDK).

Evergreen Solar (ESLR) will take any break it can get right now, its shares are up 3% today but still down 58% in 2010 and trading at just 63 cents.   Evergreen Solar shares have traded between 60 cents and $2.08 over the past 12 months.  Evergreen shares are now trading with a P/E Ratio of 0 and EPS of -1.08., its not good.

LDK Solar (LDK) said Monday that it was opening a second production facility in China. The factory - which will make silicon solar panel components - should be at full capacity within three to six months.
