Molson Coors Brewing Co.(NYSE:TAP) said Wednesday that its third-quarter profit rose to $170 million, or 92 cents a share, from $135 million, or 74 cents a share, in the same quarter a year earlier. On an adjusted basis, earnings were flat at 95 cents a share. Analysts had expected earnings, on average, of 96 cents a share.

 

Other stocks to watch in the area are Atria (NYSE:MO), which owns 28% of Miller SAB and is the producer of Marlboro cigarettes and Budweiser (NYSE:BUD).
