Heavy Volume: YRC Worldwide (NASDAQ:YRCW), MGM Mirage (NYSE:MGM) and Eastman Kodak (NYSE:EK)

YRC Worldwide Inc. checks in with a strong advance of +15% (+$0.09) to $0.66 on unusual volume of 104M shares, which is 3X the average daily volume of 35.8M.  It seems that freight volume is up and propelling the stock after its massive slide back in November 2009.

MGM Mirage is also up strong on heavy volume today as shares check in at $14.95 (+1.60/+11.99%).  Volume of 83M shares is over 3X average daily volume of 25.7M.  Today the stock broke through its overhead resistance of $14 and the case is looking bullish.

We first mentioned Eastman Kodak Company the other day as it had a volume breakout.  It appears that today the stock is following through with another strong movement.  Shares are trading at $7.68 (+$1.07/+16.19%) and the volume supports the strong move.  Today’s volume is well over 3X average daily volume at 22M versus 9.5M average.  No recent news to support the move, so either jump now or wait to see what is fueling the price movement up.
