AMD Shares Hit New High

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (NYSE:AMD) shares hit a new 52-week high of $6.73 a share, today's 21% increase is fueling buying as AMD shares back down to the $6.45 level.

Intel Corp. (INTC) has agreed to pay its biggest rival, Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (AMD), $1.25 billion as a part of a legal settlement that will end the four-year dispute that has taken place between the companies.

That news is making AMD shareholders and traders jump for joy, AMD shares are up 21% heading into the final hours of trading.

Intel shares are doing well on the news, they are only down less than 1% today and are just under $20.
