Beat Street: Quicksilver (NYSE: KWK), Tesoro (NYSE: TSO) and Western Refining (NYSE: WNR)
Quicksilver Resources Inc (NYSE:KWK) beats the Street by 3 cents per share to come in at a Q3 EPS of $0.25. They did so on revenue of $207M which is down -12.5% from year ago Q3, but remains in-line with expectations. The stock is trading up +$0.26 before the market open at $13.11 a share. (more)
Tesoro Corporation (NYSE:TSO) reported Q3 earnings per share at $0.24, which beats the Street by $0.23 (wow!). Their reported revenue of $4.74B was in-line with expectations. They also reported that the company expects to spend less than its stated capex budget of $600M. Shares are up +$0.26 to $14.23 a share. (more)
Western Refining, Inc. (NYSE:WNR) still lost money for the quarter, but beat the Street by a penny to come in with a Q3 EPS of -$0.05. Their revenue was down a whopping 40.6% from Q3 2008 at $1.83B. Shares are trading +$0.23 at $5.65 (+4.24%). (more)
