Google Shares Don't Care about the Nexus One

Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) shares are up 1% today to $472.55 despite the company saying they are done with their Nexus One phone, and who cares, when you have companies cranking out smart phones using their Android system, you don't need to sell your own phone.

Over the past 12 months Google Inc (GOOG) shares have traded between $423.50 and its 52-week high of $629.51.  Google Inc shares are now trading with a P/E Ratio of 20.2 and EPS of 23.11.

Google Inc 's current market cap is $150.5 billion and its shares have moved up 10.4% from its 52-week low.

Google Hangs Up on Its Nexus One

(WSJ.COM) The Nexus One smartphone that Google Inc. designed and brought to market will soon be discontinued in the U.S., ending the Internet company's attempt to shake up the way wireless phones are distributed.

Google says it has received its last shipment of Nexus One phones, which are touchscreen devices that carry Google's brand and are powered by Google's Android operating system. In May, Google said it would shutter its Web store selling the handset once supplies were exhausted.
