New 52-week Highs for Honda Motor, IAC, and Intuit Inc (INTU, IACI, HMC)
Honda Motor (NYSE:HMC), IAC/InterActiveCorp (NASDAQ:IACI) and TurboTax maker Intuit Inc. (NASDAQ:INTU) shares all hit new highs today, starting off 2010 right.
Honda Motor Co (NYSE:HMC) shares hit $36.43 today, the stock is already up 7% since last Thursday. Honda shares have traded as low as $20 in the past year, since Jan 2009 its stock has leaped 68%.
Honda December 2009 sales in the month increased 24.5% to 107,143 units from 86,085 units a year ago. In 2009, sales declined 19.5% to 11.51 million from 14.28 million. Sales of cars in the month increased 19.8% to 61,020 units from 50,918 units and sales of the light trucks rose 31.2% to 46,123 units compared to 35,167 a year ago.
Intuit Inc. (NASDAQ:INTU) hit $31.59 a share today and over the past year its stock has increased 31%. Tax season is upon us and Intuit is going to cash in again thanks to its TurboTax products. Intuit (INTU) picked up personal finance site Mint.com last year for $170 million, the company is preparing to phase out its Quicken Online software, moving Intuit's Web users to Mint.
Intuit plans to combine its technology with Mint's, making it easier for users to toggle between the Web and their home computers while managing money. Founded in 1983, Intuit had annual revenue of $3.2 billion in its fiscal year 2009, look for that number to keep growing in 2010.
IAC/InterActiveCorp (NASDAQ:IACI) hit $22.28 a share today and over the past 52 weeks its traded as low as $13.23. Goldman Sachs just upgraded IACI to "Buy" citing improving revenue for its Internet search business and potential for asset sales. In the last month IACI shares have moved up 13%.
