WSJ, NY Post, Fox News: Good Luck without Google
Can Rupert Murdoch's News Corp (NASDAQ:NWSA) really do without being indexed by Google (NASDAQ:GOOG)? Imagine the Wall Street Journal, New York Post, Fox News, and Hulu gone from the Google search index -- it could happen.
CNET is reporting today that Murdoch's News Corp. has reportedly initiated discussions with Microsoft over a plan to have the media company's Web content essentially delisted from the world's largest search engine, Google, but included on Microsoft's Bing, in exchange for payment from Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT)
Microsoft has reportedly approached other media giants about having their content removed from Google search results as well.
But come on, to not play nice with Google is beyond crazy, why would you play hardball with the one company that commands 65 to 75% of the overall search market?
Its a Google world no matter if you like it or not, get used to it Rupert.
