Falling Silver Prices Hurt Silver Standard Resources, Endeavour Silver, and iShares Silver Trust (ETF) (EXK, SLV, SSRI)

Shares of Silver Standard Resources (NASDAQ:SSRI), Endeavour Silver (AMEX:EXK), and the iShares Silver Trust (ETF) (NYSE:SLV) took in on the chin today after silver prices fell 5% on a U.S. Dollar rally.

Endeavour Silver (AMEX:EXK) shares lost 12% for the day thanks to silver futures falling 83 cents, or 5.1%, at $15.48 per ounce.  The decline in silver and gold prices today took que on a dollar rally fueled by risks in stocks and foreign debt.  The  iShares Silver Trust (SLV) was traded heavily today, more than 2X the daily average.
