RIM Shares Bottom: Takeover Time?

Despite today's 5% rally for Research in Motion (NASDAQ:RIMM) shares today, its stock price has fallen back to 2006 levels. Thus the conversation for a buyout by cash rich Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) or Dell (NASDAQ:DELL) becomes plausible.

It's Far from Over for Research in Motion

Research In Motion (NASDAQ:RIMM) co-CEO Jim Balsillie said yesterday that "many customers are getting tired of being told what to think by Apple" - , after Steve Jobs tuned in to the Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) earnings call to take aim at RIM and Google (NASDAQ:GOOG). The battle is just getting started in the mobile and tablet business.

Research in Motion (NASDAQ:RIMM) shares continue to fall today, depsite the "Show & Tell" presentation of the company's new tablet the "PlayBook". However with the company's stock price under pressure it was a no brainer that RIM should have told the public how much the new device will cost, how could they have missed that?

Dundee Bullish on Research in Motion (RIMM)
