China and its Dragon Economy

China is wrestling with an inflation problem of sorts. Prices were up 5.5% in May alone. Nationwide home property prices up more than 4% in April. And its economy grew by almost 10% in the first quarter. The ProShares UltraSh FTSE/Xinhua China 25 (NYSE:FXP) is down 31% in the last year, where do we go from here?

One fund is doing quite well today, that would be the ProShares UltraSh FTSE/Xinhua China 25 (NYSE:FXP) up 7.6%. Playing the FXP is a way to bank coin as China catches the blame for the latest bearish swing.

Jack Wadsworth, Morgan Stanley (NYSE:MS) Asia honorary chairman talked with Bloomberg today and he sees growth by investing in Chinese equities. Thus go Bullish on China with iShares FTSE/Xinhua China 25 Index (ETF) (NYSE:FXI) versus going bearish on China using the ProShares UltraSh FTSE/Xinhua China 25 (NYSE:FXP).

The Negative Nancy Index: Short China, NASDAQ, Gold and Others (FXP, QID, DGZ)

The bulls can't run forever as there is always chaos awaiting in the shadows. Just when you think your precious equities will run forever the market will topple and fall while only the inverse ETFs and short positions will reap the benefits. Look to the ProShares UltraSh FTSE/Xinhua China 25 (NYSE:FXP), ProShares UltraShort QQQ (ETF) (NYSE:QID), and PowerShares DB Gold Short ETN (NYSE:DGZ).

The Impact of China's Slowdown: U.S. States (FXP)

Besides loading up positions in the ProShares UltraSh FTSE/Xinhua China 25 (Public, NYSE:FXP), if the China bubble bursts and there's a big slowdown of U.S. imports it could greatly hurt 10 U.S. States including the battered state of California.
