Westport Innovations: Increasing on Volume

Westport Innovations Inc. (USA) (NASDAQ:WPRT) had a nice day today, advancing +8% on close to 3X average daily volume. The stock price of the environemental technology company recently broke through its $9.50 resistance level on August 27 and then pulled back slightly. Today seemed to be a continuation of the uptrend. There does not seem to be any specific news related to the recent stock price increases, although it may come out soon. As is par for the course, stocks usually make the move and then the news gets released to the public.
